Short answer is a DIY tabletop skirmish game. The Do It
Yourself part is the game board and figures that I do not provide. For these
you’ll have to use whatever you may have from other games or make your own.
Tabletop skirmish games are small scale conflicts involving about a dozen or
less figures per side.
The Frac’d Earth premise: In a near-future earth an
extra-dimensional “Incursion” from other realities has occurred. Each reality
represents a specific or hybrid RPG setting; Fantasy, Science Fiction,
Steampunk, Cyberpunk, etc.
Play is skill-based and team-oriented, so crew synergy is
important. Good crew builds will succeed at maximizing maneuver, attack and
defense options. These combinations will allow lesser-powered characters to
overcome higher-powered characters.
Random chance is handled by a customized 54 card poker deck;
identical for each player.
Games are won be achieving Victory Points for specific
goals.
These core rules are for games played as a one-off contest.
In a forthcoming campaign mode, characters can be improved between games by
upgrading skills and abilities or acquiring new ones.
The system can accommodate 1 to 6 players but is best with 2
to 4. Solo play can be supported.

Necessary files include Fracd Earth.PDF and the QRS-Index.PDF; these files are rules-linked to one another. The Quick Reference Sheet-Index summarizes the rule book
and aids in finding specific page info in the rule book.
The rest are optional files that many will find useful. The
Fracd Glossary.PDF is an aid to game terminology while the Player Reference.PDF
provides a tarot card sized Turn Sequence and Moves reference on one side and a
list of the most common Crew Card symbols on the other side.
Fracd Earth can be played with a standard poker deck of 54
cards, including Jokers. The Force Deck.PDF is a conversion of a 54-card deck
containing specific special rules and symbols used in play. The Token.PDF is a
half-page of information markers for changeable figure conditions.
The Core Faction Cards.PDF is the first installment in a series of Crew Cards used to create your team before each mission. I will be adding expansions every two weeks or so. Core troops are the mundane
figures to start; they are easier to play and better for learning the rules. Later I will add meta-humans and their power effects to the mix.
My core rules are well play-tested and in their final form, barring some tweaks or re-wording. This beta test is for the hundred or so special ability rules and an equal number of power effects that I need to be sure will not unbalance the game. I hope whoever is reading this will give it a try.
